I have 2 iPads that I can watch my slingbox on (1 at a time ). 1 is a first generation model and the other is a new iPad (3rd gen). The 1st gen model shows a network speed of up to 7000 Mbps and works well in the hq mode. The 3rd gen struggles to get past a network speed of 800 Mbps which creates a lot of buffering in the hq mode. Both connect over the same wifi network. I would rather use the 3rd gen ipad because of the retina screen yields a better image. What could cause such a difference in network speed?
We understand that your iPad 3rd generation has a network speed slower than the 1st generation.
You would also, prefer to use the 3rd generation iPad to view your Slingbox.
Here is some information that may assist you Network speed requirements for SlingPlayer for iPad.
Hope this information helps,
