I have reset my Pro HD numerous times. I get the network light. I am not able to connect to it though. I try and configure it through Setup Assistant and it tells me it can't communicate with the box. I am connected to a switch and the switch to the modem. When I go into the modem (which is a router too), I see the IP address of the slingbox. It just says My. I assume that is My Slingbox. It was not there before. Please help. I need sling for trip.
Are you trying to configure from inside your network ? After a hard reset, you can't do it from outside until you've run setup locally.
If you're inside the LAN and you don't have a software firewall on your computer blocking things, it sounds like you're doing everything right.
