    Slingbox connected to Wireless Repeater

    claudiomessina

      Hi All,

i connected my slingbox solo to the repeater tp-link tl-wa701n.

My repeater is connected via wireless to my router (192.168.1.1) and with my laptop is connected to internet regurally. Obviously, I'm in the same network with my laptop (192.168.1.233 dhcp assigned), but i'm not able to see my slingbox on the slingplayer directory.

Could you please help me to solve?

How can i see my slingbox with this configuration?

Thanks in advance and Best Regards,

      Claudio

          Hi claudiomessina,

It seems that you are having some issues with your Slingbox SOLO since you cannot locate it on your network.

Most of the times, this issue is related to the security software running on your computer. If the Slingbox shows solid lights it means that it is a "healthy" unit. In this case, I recommend you to check this link:

          Internet security and personal firewalls

You can also connect the Slingbox directly into your router. This specific step will indicate if the issue is related to the TP-Link repeater.

Finally, you can also use a second computer and see how the Slingbox behaves on the same scenario but in a different computer.

          Hope this helps.

          Regards
