    Testing From Remote Location

    lcvalent

Hi there. I'm trying to tweak around some settings on my Slingbox, router, firewall, etc. in Pennsylvania to try to maximize the upload speed, for a better picture at my house in Maryland.  Currently, I'm in Pennsylvania.  Does anyone know a good way to test the Slingbox external to my network? I know the best option is to have someone else test it, but I'm hoping not to take up anyone elses time. Seems like there would be a way to proxy it. If anyone can offer step by step directions, I'd appreciate it! Thanks!

          Hello lcvalent,

I see that you want to know if the Slingbox is properly set up for Internet Viewing. As you mentioned, the best way to test it if by connecting through a different network. You can contact our technical support department in order for us to test that for you.
