Setup: Slingbox Solo + SlingPlayer iOS
From a technical point of view, I understand that this setup should use Apple HTTP streaming (h.264)
If that's the case, why is the framerate so slow compared to watching on a PC?
If it's using h264, then the iPad/iPhone Slingplayer should be able to easily manage any stream you give it due to the GPU. Currently it looks like it's around 15fps.
I guess my question is: Where is 15fps stream limit set? Is that what the Slingbox outputs when it detects an iOS device requesting the stream or is it the iOS device itself not being able to keep up with the stream becasue it's rendered in software (ie. WMV stream)
