We need you to be more specific. Unfortunately, your post is not clear enough and we need you to give us more information. Do you have this issue using Watch at slingbox.comor do you have the SlingPlayer desktop version installed? What Internet browser are you using? What type of cables do you have connected to the Slingbox (coaxial, component, composite or S-video)?
In the meantime I recommend to run the Setup at slingbox.com to configure the input and the guide again, during that process you should be able to test the remote to determine if the issue persists.
