    Slingplayer for the web app has recurrent problems.

      The help desk at Sling told me that I would need to uninstall and reinstall the app each time it failed, which has been almost daily.   I find it hard to believe this is how they want their customers experiencing their product.    I have a Slingbox 500 that is out of warranty but it seems to me that the problem is with the app not the slingbox but perhaps I'm wrong.      Is this really the best solution?
