Same problem, I also have osx Lion and I have tried 32bit-mode; Firefox crashes and safari goes to page:
HTTP Status 404 - /watch/downloads/pc/webslingplayer.xpi

Hi, passant and all
I understand that you are having some issues when trying to use the web based application on a Mac computer.
It is important to determine if your computers meet the requirements for the Slingbox you use. In all case, the following links will provide you with the information about requirements for the Slingbox SOLO and PRO HD.
Besides, the following link will provide you with the information about the supported Operating Systems and web-browsers.
I also cannot get the slingplayer plugin to work, tried to install it over 10 times now and although it says it has installed the plugin is not visible in Library, there is no Internet plugin folder. I have all the required specs and am using Safari 7 or Firefox 7 with Mac OSX Lion, can you please help as this seems to affect alot of people and I haven't seen anyone in support come up with a solution?
Your replies are to posts from September 2011, when OS X 10.7 Lion was current. But since you're apparently on a computer where you must stay/choose to stay on Lion and Lion isn't supported by Watch on Slingbox.com, try these Flash-based players:
And possibly SlingPlayer for Facebook. See here for more information about SlingPlayer Embedded and SlingPlayer for Facebook.
I am unable to view via slingbox.com running MBP 10.8.5 via both Firefox v24 and Safari 6.0.5.
I am able to connect via Slingplayer app on iPad ios 6.1.3 and iPhone ios 6.1.3. Also able to connect using PC Windows XP at slingbox.com
Suprisingly I am able to connect via the legacy Mac OSX Slingplayer Desktop App 184.108.40.2062 although it locks up the Mac Book Pro at certain points.
I was told by slingbox tech support (which has to be the worst ever) that I need to pay $29.99 to have my questions answered becuase my device is not working properly.
The symptoms here make me believe the slingplayer plugin for mac is not functioning properly. Is there a solution to this?
Any updates on this situation.
I am still not able to connect via slingplayer.com via my MBP 10.9.1.
I am able to connect on the same mbp and network via the legac slingplayer app for mac os x desktop.
Surely slingbox has some sort of at least answer or suggestion.
Anyone have any luck with this yet.
