Are you trying to access the video from a corporate IT environment? It is possible that your IT section has ports, URL or content blocked which is preventing a connection. I am having the same issue with my corporate network.
If you can, try to access the slingbox from another network or connection. For me - corporate IT network = fail. Laptop with aircard = successful connection.
Hello again all,
I think I have found a likely "explanation": when my problem reoccured (using Watch on slingbox.com with Firefox on a mac) I tried Safari instead, and that worked. Since then I've only been using Safari, so I cannot say for sure whether the problem lies in the slingplayer firefox plugin (or whatever the correct term is), but I clearly suspect that.
It worked fine here at my home until about 3 PT in the afternoon when it simply dropped out. Safari now gives me a 404 error and the old mac viewer app just says it can't connect, and that's the way it's been since yesterday. 404 error tells me there's a major snafu at their end. I just wish they'd have up some kind of status on the main page. And, there's no direct way to contact them, since they don't help you after 90 days.
Did you try to use firefox instead.
Again this is something on your Mac and Safari, otherwise there would be a lot of people with same issue if it was the app itself.
Also did you try to download the software?
Check on support and then on downloads, lower area on the screen to the right..
Again clean the browsing history..
Also support is there as any product it has a limited support waranty, just like with Apple that you need to pay for all the apps!
If you are on the first year of purchase get the extended warranty to avoid any other charge.
