Got an identical problem with my Solo. Only power light on. Tried all troubleshooting tips, new cables and PSU. Holding the Reset button has no effect - it doesn't respond. Think it's gone to slingbox heaven. Sounds like it might be a busy place!
Just plugged in a PSU from my original failed MK1 Slingbox and my SOLO is now working. So the fault was with the SOLO's PSU after all.
Voltage output from the MK1 Slingbox PSU is 6V 2.5A so I won't use it as a long term solution.

Using Win 7, went thru setup assistant, D-Link DIR 655, noticed that the IP address had changed, added program to list with PC tools spyware doctor, added program under win firewall and under advanced port 5001 for TCP and UPD. Uninstalled/reinstalled slingplayer, off/on and reset slingbox, off/on router. No go...
