I've seen several posts on here about the same problem I'm experiencing with my Sling Mobile on an HTC Evo, but no correct responses from Sling. I have had this app for several months and it worked fine on 3g, 4g, and Wi-Fi until recently. Now it is unwatchable on the phone on all but Wi-Fi It is not a problem with my set up, it is not a problem with which player I have, it is a problem with the app. I can tether my phone to a laptop and watch Sling with no problems using the phone as the Internet source. The recent app upgrade is likely the culprit. We all would have little to say about this if it were a free app, but we all paid $30. for this, reason we DEMAND that sling find the problem and fix it. Again, IT IS NOT A SET-UP, HARDWARE or any other problem. It is a software problem in the app.
In this case, you must know that the SlingPlayer Mobile application for Android Mobile devices supports the Slingbox PRO, the Slingbox SOLO and the Slingbox PRO HD.
The application will not work fine if you have a legacy Slingbox model (Classic, AV or TUNER). In this case, since you have the Slingbox AV, it might not work in a proper way.
