I recently changed routers and after resetting my slingbox I'm unable to configure it. I reset the slingbox. After this I went through the slingbox setup online but each time I got to the video source section I got an error message saying that the admin password I entered was incorrect. When I enter the password I just created in the previous stage I get sent back to the beginning of the setup and the same problem repeats itself. How can a password I just created be incorrect? The slingbox is capable of picking up the video stream because during setup it shows what I'm currently watching on TV but due to the failed setup I can't control the cable box, the slingplayer only mirrors what I put on tv using my actual cable remote. Has anyone encountered this problem and/or have any solutions?
If you are having issues with the password after resetting the Slingbox, you can try to Reset the browser's Plug in. This should take care of it, but if you still experience this issue. I recommend to run the Setup Assistant using the SlingPlayer version instead of Setup at slingbox.com.
