If you are still having issues with the Internet browser, I will recommend you to first check if those meets the system requirements. You can try changing Safari to the 32 bit version and try it that way. If the same issue persists, try resetting the plugins and test it afterwards.

I have the same very frustrating problem; all my browsers crash using 3 different computers when I try to run the updated install plugin, so I cant configure the Slingbox solo.
I have poured over these forums. Which have suggested I uninstall and reinstall the plugin.
reset internet settings (which also blew off my wanted settings and cookies, thanks very little)
Looks like plenty of other users are having the same problem.
