My configuration consists of a Verizon FiOS router connected to an Apple Airport Extreme which handles the wireless duties. All that is hardwired to my older Slingbox Pro-HD. The firmware is all up to date. I've been using the slingbox for awhile now with no problem until I added the Airport. The port forwarding for the Verizon router seems right, however I haven't touched those settings for the Airport.
It allowing me to see the broadcast inside my home but it doesn't work over the internet.
I'm wondering with anyone has any ideas about how to configure this correctly. I''ve been to the Sling support site and even their Apple Airport site seems to be dated because it's steps don't line up with my menu items.
Please help. Thanks.
Basically, you need to open the same port number on your Airport Extreme using the Internet address provided by the Verizon FiOS router. This way, the Slingbox will be able to reach the Internet. The following link will provide you with further information and the steps to follow.
